Your dog's data should work everywhere it needs to.
If a Cogua dog runs a DNA test, gets a panel at their vet, switches food, fills a prescription, or straps on a wearable, those results should not be locked inside a vendor silo. They should arrive in one place where the dog's owner and the dog's vet can both see them, talk about them, and act on them. That is the experience Cogua is built around.
We choose partners who support that. Open data exports. Standard formats. Owner-controlled sharing with their vet. Real results that show up in real workflows, not marketing claims that disappear after checkout.
A side benefit, not a primary goal: when partners support owner-controlled interoperability, the methodology absorbs the resulting data and gets sharper for every dog on the platform. Always with consent, always anonymized in aggregate, and always in service of dogs living longer.
Our partnership standard
Three filters. Aligned incentives: does the partner make money when our dogs do better, or only when they buy more? Real evidence: peer-reviewed, FDA-tracked, or independently verified? Vet-first respect: does the partner support the veterinarian-client-patient relationship, or try to bypass it? If any answer is no, the partnership does not happen.
Partner vet network
Independent and small-group practices that emphasize preventative and longevity-oriented care. Practices in our network see prepared owners arrive with their Paw Print already on the exam-room screen, ready for a specific conversation instead of an open-ended worry. We do not bill through the practice, charge clients on behalf of the practice, or interfere with clinical judgment.
Drug developers working on canine lifespan
FDA-approved or evidence-backed canine longevity pharmaceuticals are the most credible therapeutic protective factor available to dogs today. We watch this space carefully. When a treatment becomes appropriate for a specific dog based on its profile, breed risk, and current findings, the Paw Print surfaces it with sourcing, cost, and the exact vet conversation to have. We do not take a commission.
Licensed televet partners powering Cogua Care
Cogua Care members have access to televet consultations with licensed veterinarians for low-acuity questions, prescription renewals where appropriate, and follow-ups that do not require a physical exam. Any prescription requires a licensed veterinarian and a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) under applicable state law. Cogua does not prescribe. The clinical decision always rests with the licensed clinician.
Preventative-care-aligned insurers
Pet insurance companies whose product structure rewards preventative care - wellness benefits, diagnostic test coverage, breed-specific risk underwriting - have aligned incentives with Cogua. The Paw Print can identify which screening tests an owner's policy covers and which would be out-of-pocket, so the next step is grounded in the actual financial picture, not a hopeful estimate.
Genetic and epigenetic test providers
DNA panels (breed identification, genetic-health-marker screening, inbreeding-coefficient scoring) and methylation-based epigenetic age clocks both add real resolution to the Paw Print. The methodology incorporates these results as Evidence Stack layers 5 and 6, weighted to a maximum 12% confidence contribution each, with severity tiers applied to at-risk versus carrier versus clear genotypes. We do not gate the relationship behind any single test. Owners purchase directly from the provider; results upload to Cogua.
Clinical advisory board
Cogua's methodology cites peer-reviewed canine longevity literature. Our clinical-advisory direction emphasizes geroscientists, veterinary internal medicine specialists, behavior scientists, and translational-medicine researchers whose work anchors the methodology. The full reference list is documented in the methodology and on our Science page.
